Ken Auletta’s book, Googled: The End of the World as we Know it, will have its own film adaptation. Groundswell productions, together with producer John Morris, have purchased the rights to the book. Cameras will soon roll on the movie that will tell how Google rose to greatness.
The book is about the lives of Sergey Brin and Larry Page, founders of the widely used internet search engine. The novel tries to dig deeper and get in touch of the personal experiences of its founders and how it became a multibillion dollar company. Auletta also tries to focus on how Google was developed and what the innovative ideas were that revolved around it.
Google is the most widely used tool on the internet. I believe everybody is curious to see this film and how it will evolve from a book into a movie. It will be a while before they are in production, but at least we know that there is something going on to help get this bestseller into theaters.
